Truck Surfing the Vapor Wave
Garden City Kansas Truck Stop with a Vape Shop.
It's the vape artists formerly known as OTR Vapes. Remember them? If so, forget them because they ain't here anymore, and that's a win for you. Nothing against the old guys, but this shop has really turned around under new management. First, understand that this is the smallest vape shop you have most likely ever been to. Space is extremely limited, so it requires a shop that really understands not only the vape market but the truck drivers that they are providing a service to. It also dictates that truck drivers understand their situation. They need to market themselves towards the smoker and the vaper that is newer to the game, and that is what they have done and they have done a good job at it.
If you ever stopped into this shop before it changed hands, then chances are you were frustrated. The hours were clearly posted for the customers, but not apparently so for the employees. They treated this as an "on call" service, frequently putting a sign up with a phone number to call instead of having an employee there to run the shop. Truckers don't have time to call and wait for you to show up, so sales were slow and customers were frustrated. At some point Vapor Wave, a local shop, stepped in and made the best of the situation for all involved.
We're not going to spend a ton of time on these guys. It's a very tiny shop. See the pictures. However, they do have a house line of juice that is actually pretty decent. I purchased 2 flavors from them and the one was actually quite good, the other was decent. Juices were probably around a 50/50 mix, but that works well for tanks, which many newer vapers will be using anyway.
The shop sits inside the Garden City Travel Plaza on the northwest corner of the US 400 and US 83 junction in Garden City Kansas. You can't miss it. It's a decent sized truck stop with plenty of parking. The shop offers starter kits, e-liquid, tanks, mods, batteries, chargers, and replacement coils for many sub ohm tanks. Check them out next time you're in the area, but don't go out of your way for this one. It's worth the stop, but not worth much extra effort.
