24 hr vape shop in London Ohio.
Everybody has to have their "thing", and this shop has a pretty unique one. Can you find gear that you won't find anywhere else? No. Okay, maybe... but that's not always a good thing. Do they have custom made high end vaping gear? No. The largest selection of e-liquids in the state? Probably not. Than what is the thing at Poor Boy's Vapor World in London Ohio? They are a 24 hour full service vaping shop and lounge. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week you can stop in and shop or relax and vape and the best part for our purposes is? Yes, the have accessible truck parking close by off site.
If you find yourself traveling across I 70 in Ohio, make sure you stop in and check these guys out. You can find them conveniently located right across the street from the T/A truck stop in London Ohio at exit 79. They sit just south of the Interstate in an old gas station. Additional truck parking is available at the McDonalds beside their facility. This alleviates part of the problem created by this particular Travel Centers of America deciding to turn nearly 50 parking spaces into "Reserved Parking" so they can charge drivers $12 to take a 10 hour break. This is, in my humble opinion, absurd and unconscionable. It is part of the never-ending greed exhibited by T/A Petro that has caused me to almost completely stop using them for their fuel and services, but that is beside the point. Back on topic.
I previously mentioned that Poor Boy's Vapor World might have some items that you can't find anywhere else. Top of that list would be the Smoktech (yes, remember when Smok used to officially go by their full name?) Groove. This was a highly sought after mod... in 2013. They don't just have one, they have several color combinations to choose from if that's your thing. Not to belabor the point, but they should really toss these things, and I don't say that because the specifications on these devices are really outdated, although they are. I say that because they have an internal battery which is likely dead or severely degraded at this point. If you're into the low watt high resistance thing, there is also the delrin version of the Smoktech Zmax (the first widely available variable watt device not powered by Evolv) available for purchase, and that is a good thing.
At this point you might get the impression that I dislike Poor Boy's Vapor World. You would be wrong. I'm actually quite fond of the shop. There's just something about being able to stop in at 2 in the morning and go vape shopping. Furthermore, they have a lounge that includes multiple pool tables and work spaces for customers to sit around and build on their gear or socialize. It is very nicely done. On top of that, they have a wide range of e-liquids to chose from including 2 house brands (I'll get into that in a minute) and outside vendor lines. Additionally, they carry hardware from the following vendors.
- Vaperz Cloud
One of their house lines of e-liquid is called The Mailman. On my last visit to the shop, the manager who created this line was there and he gave me a bottle so I purchased another one to go with it. He was a very nice, friendly guy and the prices on this line are excellent. For those reasons I want to tell you that I loved it but I can't do that. It was ok. The flavors I tried were General Custard and Strawberry Custard. The former is a custard with a caramel or butterscotch flavor in there, it was hard to tell for sure. It also had graham cracker tones to it. It wasn't bad, it was just way too sweet for me. The strawberry custard again wasn't bad either, it just wasn't all that good. It was certainly vapable though, and I did finish the bottle. The prices are very good on this line, so it's worth a try to see if maybe they have a flavor that does it for you.
The staff here is very friendly and knowledgeable. Even the overnight crew is staffed with actual vapers who know a thing or two about their products and the industry. This is what keeps me coming back even though the selection for gear I use isn't all that great and I'm not a huge fan of the juices. When my charger went out while I was on the road, they were there for me at 4 am when I really needed them, and you can't beat that. Stop in and give Poor Boy's Vapor World a try on your next trip through the Buckeye.
