Setting the standard for truck stop vape shops.
If you were wondering how I determine which vape shops with truck access will become a "Premier Shop", let's let Atlanta Vapor at the Fairburn Family Travel Center in Fairburn Georgia clear this one up for us since they are pretty much setting the bar here on doing it right. A wide variety of e-liquids? Check. Gear for everyone from beginners to advanced vapers? Check. Reasonable prices even in trucker friendly environments? Check. In stock replacement coils for most modern tanks? Check. Easy access for truckers? It doesn't get much easier than inside the truck stop. We've visited a few "on site" locations, but none like this before. Is Atlanta Vapor a premier shop? Indeed. In fact, Atlanta Vapor in Fairburn Georgia is the flagship of premier vape shops for truckers.
Alright, guys. Let's be realistic. It's the Atlanta area. Am I going to tell you that you can show up at 2 in the am and find plenty of truck parking? Of course not. But if you're in the Atlanta area during business hours, than run down Interstate 85 to exit 61. Get off and head east to the traffic light and turn left. You'll see the truck entrance there to the Fairburn Family Travel Center. When you enter, you're going to see signs about paid parking. That doesn't apply to truckers who park in the non-reserved (unnumbered) spots in the upper lot, or the west end of the lower lot including the gravel overflow parking. They do ask however, that when you go inside the truck stop that you stop by the fuel desk and sign in with your phone number. This is simply to confirm that you stay there at the truck stop and don't leave your truck parked while you leave the premises. If you're a trucker who vapes, there is no need to do so. Just head past the fuel desk and turn left down the hall. Turn right by the drivers lounge and your destination is at the end of that hallway on the left.
Now with the glowing introduction that I gave these guys, you might think that they're my favorite vape shop. Not necessarily, although they are near the top. Here's the thing. I totally respect what they have done here, and they have done it very well. This shop is just another Atlanta Vapor chain location. They could have rented a smaller suite, or jacked up prices to cover the cost of their prime location. They didn't. They staffed it with knowledgeable employees, stocked it with quality gear, and gave truckers much needed easy access. They do it all, and they do it very well.
Let's start with e-liquid. I vape at 6mg, and it's easy for me to forget about you low wattage high nic vapers out there, but Atlanta Vapor didn't. They have a full house line of liquids available in high nicotine levels. Additionally, they have a wide variety of gourmet liquids. Here are some of the vendors they carry, including the first two vendors who they also carry in 18mg of nicotine.
- Five Pawns
- Aisle 7
- Bomb Sauce
- Charlie's Chalk Dust
- Cosmic Fog
- Liquid State
- Mod Fuel
- One Hit Wonder
- Space Jam
- The Essentials
- The Milkman
I know their site lists more liquids, but these are the ones I have seen in stock at this location. See what I'm saying? You simply can't beat that level of selection. If that were all they had, it would be enough to get them listed as a premier shop. It isn't. Let's talk about hardware.
- E Leaf
- Council of Vapor
- Custom Vapes
- Von Erl
As you can see, these guys have an incredible selection. The one thing I could possibly gig them for is a poor selection of high end gear. That having been said, they did have a Goon atomizer in stock, so let's not get carried away here. And did I mention that they have clearance buckets for older gear and liquids? Last time I was there you could pick up some 30ml bottles of Five Pawns for $10, and some clone atomizers for as cheap as $3.
A helpful, knowledgeable staff at a vape shop inside a truck stop with a wide selection of e-liquid manufacturers and nicotine levels and a broad base of vaping hardware to choose from. There are better vape shops out there, but for truckers this is about as good as it gets. If you're anywhere in the Atlanta area, by all means take a detour to check these guys out. If you regret it, you're doing it wrong.
