Rig V3 and Roughneck BAMF Review

Written by Steve Parry on Thursday, 06 April 2017. Views: 5932 Posted in Reviews, Advanced

Mechanical mod with hybrid dripper.

Rig V3 and Roughneck BAMF Review

Let's get this out of the way right here off the bat. If you're a smoker wondering what this vaping thing is all about, this device isn't for you. If you're a new vaper just starting to get into rebuilding, this device is not for you. If you're an advanced vaper experienced in ohms law and battery safety, is this device for you? We're going to take a look at it and find out. What we have here is a 3 piece unit sold as a set. It's a copper mechanical tube mod with a 510 connector for use with atomizers with 510 threading. It also comes with a hybrid dripping atomizer for direct contact with the positivepost of your battery. The mod is called the Rig V3, and the atomizer is called the BAMF Roughneck. What does BAMF stand for? I'll let you figure that out while we take a look at this device.

El Cabron Mod by CompVape

The new aluminum version.

You have probably seen a couple versions of this mod before. It has been released in wooden versions before, but finally the metal version of this mod is released to the public by CompVape. I had my chance to get my hands on one of these before they were officially released, so I have been using this for a couple of weeks now and it is time I finally get my review of this device posted. This is a dual parallel 18650 (mostly) mechanical box mod. It is, of course, unregulated and will perform as well as the batteries that you put in it. I have the solid black version serial #268 which will be used for the purpose of this review. (See video and pictures below)

Smok VCT Pro Review

Written by Steve Parry on Monday, 29 June 2015. Views: 6107 Posted in Intermediate

The latest sub ohm tank from Smok.

It seems like everyone is coming out with sub ohm tanks these days, and this is the latest one from the folks over at Smoktech. The great thing about these devices is that they offer new vapers the ability to to get a high quality vape like the seasoned veterans get without having to go through the process of learning how to wrap coils and rebuild atomizers. While there are some safety concerns that require the user to be properly informed before using these devices, they are pretty much a plug-and-go solution for cloud chasing while still keeping a focus on the flavor of the vape. This particular device was sent to me free of charge for the purposes of this review by the folks over at GearBest.

Hellboy Driping Atomizer

Written by Steve Parry on Saturday, 20 June 2015. Views: 3092 Posted in Advanced

Dripping squared.

I happen to have a legit Hellboy that I have had for a couple of months now. Last week I picked up a clone Hellboy from Catfish Atty Mods that was modified to serve as a bottom feeder for my Reo Grand mod. I decided to go ahead and do a review on the legit Hellboy, and as a bonus throw in some comparrisons with the clone. I purchased both of these atomizers, and the opinions expressed about them are my own. Your results and opinions may be different.

A6 Atomizer Review

on Monday, 05 May 2014. Views: 5151 Posted in Advanced

A tiny dripper that packs a big punch.

A6 Atomizer Review
Tiny atomizer, big attitude.

I've had this one sitting around for awhile and I finally decided to post something on it. This is a tricky little atomizer to talk about because it has some good points and some bad points, and it's upside is also it's downside. We'll get to that in a minute here, but first off let's get to what it is. It is a tiny little dripping atomizer that is set up for dual coils. It has 3 posts (one positive and two negative) and dual air holes in the cap. The air holes are a little small, but as I have done here they can be easily drilled out. The atomizer is available in Stainless Steel (the one used in this review) or aluminum. It is basically the diameter of an eGo battery at 14.25 mm.

iTaste MVP 2.0 Review

Time to step up from those eGos.

iTaste MVP 2.0 Review

At some point in time, most vapers have owned an eGo or an Evod. Chances are they will advance to a twist or a spinner. While these are a step up, there are still some serious limitations to these devices. If you find yourself at this point and you are ready to move on, the iTaste MVP is a reasonably priced option that you might want to look into. Recently I won one of these devices in a contest over at Dirty Heathens, so I decided to do a quick review on it to get a feel for what it is all about and see if it is the next logical step in vaping. With both variable voltage and variable wattage, it has what most vapers are looking for in a device, but is it worth the money? First let's look at the specs on this device.

EonSmoke Eternity Kit Review

Written by Steve Parry on Saturday, 01 March 2014. Views: 26713 Posted in Intermediate

EonSmoke goes refillable.

EonSmoke Eternity Kit Review

Awhile back the folks over at EonSmoke asked me to review their 808 starter kit and disposable e-cigs. Since I started out with a similar kit myself I was happy to do the review. Recently they came back for another round asking me to review their new line of e-liquids. While I was happy to do so, I was unaware that they had come out with a new starter kit to go with these liquids. They included an EonSmoke Eternity kit in the package they sent me, so we will take a look at this new kit and 5 flavors from their new line of e-liquids in this review. The kit includes 1 battery, a clearomizer, and a charger. This sure beats the hell out of refilling cartomizers so let's take a look at it.

Stigx Electronic Cigarette Review

Written by Steve Parry on Thursday, 27 February 2014. Views: 15368 Posted in Intermediate

A very solid starter kit that is sure to please.

Stigx Electronic Cigarette Review

This electronic cigarette was sent to me by the folks over at Stigx. They are a company based out of the Netherlands and offer a line of eliquids and the electronic cigarette featured in this review. They advertise free shipping on all orders over $25 (I'm not sure that that applies to international shipments) and from my experience, their shipping time to the U.S. is about 5 days. The e-cig is available in black, silver, and white and the one sent to me for purposes of review is the white model. The clearomizer is eGo threaded and will not work with a standard 510 connection but the battery has both eGo and 510 threading, so standard 510 threaded devices will work with the battery.

The AGA TD Dual Coil Rebuildable Atomizer

Written by Steve Parry on Sunday, 06 October 2013. Views: 31705 Posted in Advanced

This is the beast of the AGA family.

The AGA TD Dual Coil Rebuildable Atomizer

First off let me start out by thanking the people over at My Vapor Store for this awesome atomizer. This wasn't sent to me for the purpose of a review but I did receive it free of charge. I had recently purchased the AGA T2 from the same place, and I make a helluva lot of purchases from them as they supply most of the things I need. So when I ordered my ProTank II from them I explained how I was "back door" dual coiling my T2 and would they be so kind as to comp me the TD? It never hurts to ask, right? They replied by thanking me for being a loyal customer and they informed me that they had added one to my order at no charge. So now that it is here, let's review it.

The Vamo Review

Written by Steve Parry on Sunday, 07 April 2013. Views: 22678 Posted in Advanced

Or "The Bamboo" as it is called where I purchased it.

The Vamo Review
The Vamo, or Bamboo.

A few months back I decided to get the Zmax when the version 2 came out offering the two power modes. When I got that, I started to love my dual coil tanks again because it had the power to push those cartos to full potential. After a few months, the button started to get funky on the Zmax, and I began to worry about the device taking a dump on me while I was out on the road. I still have my Lambo 4.0 but I knew I wouldn't be satisfied with that. I wanted an AnyVape CVI, but due to the recall you couldn't get one. I was reading some good things about the Vamo and I happened to stop by Indy Vapor Shop and they had some in stock, so I picked one up from them (under the name Bamboo).

My Vapor Store; Fast Shipping At A Whole New Level

on Monday, 10 December 2012. Views: 42289 Posted in Vapor Shops, Online Shops

I wouldn't believe it if I hadn't seen it myself.

My Vapor Store; Fast Shipping At A Whole New Level

Any time a trucker says "You're not going to believe this" you should take him up on the offer. If I weren't coming to you with proof of this story, I wouldn't even bother bringing it to you at all. But like you would demand to see the ticket from the driver who got "Nailed out in El Paso for going 132 in a 55 and he let me off with a warning ticket" you should expect me to proof up this story, and I will. Nobody would throw that warning ticket in the trash, and I wouldn't let this opportunity slide without a screen shot. Am I building this story up too highly? Not at all. You have to understand the convergence of circumstances, dare I say the cosmic alignment that had to come together to allow this circumstance to happen. Who knows, I may have even discovered what the Mayans were predicting with their calendar.
